About us

The Scandinavian Physiological Society (SPS) was founded in 1925 and has now supported physiological sciences in the Nordic countries for almost a century.

The primary goal of SPS is to stimulate and support the progression of research and teaching within physiological sciences across the Nordic countries.

  • Organizes and support scientific meetings and symposia
  • Grants scientific awards and travel grants
  • Supports the career development of young researchers
  • Supports special interest groups (SIGs) in various disciplines
