Support for Symposia

The Scandinavian Physiological Society (SPS) supports scientific symposia and topic specific meetings. In collaboration with our Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of Acta Physiologica, we provide funding in exchange for accepted manuscript series in Acta Physiologica:

The manuscript series is negotiated with the EiC and the conditions for funding are as follows:

Support option 1:
Miniseries of 3-5 publications in Acta Physiologica can be compensated with up to 3000 Euro to be used for funding of scientific meetings. The amount is granted upon manuscript acceptance, and it is possible to submit the miniseries in advance of the planned meeting. SPS and Acta Physiologica must be acknowledged at the given symposium.

Support option 2:
Topic series of more than 6 manuscripts can be compensated with up to 6000 Euro to be used for funding of scientific meetings. The amount is granted upon manuscript acceptance, and it is possible to submit the topic series in advance of the planned meeting. SPS and Acta Physiologica must be acknowledged at the given symposium.

Please note:
That SPS does not cover Open Access of the publications. It is also possible for Special Interest Groups to increase their funding through this programme.

For the acknowledgement of SPS and Acta Physiologica we provide:
SPS and Acta Physiologica merchandise for a booth, an SPS roll-up, an Acta roll-up, and the respective SIG roll-up.
